report that Jerry succumbed to leukemia on
February 12, 2010. Jerry was a retired
wildlife manager who worked for the U.S. Forest
Service and the Colorado and Alaska Departments
of Game. He retired from the Washington
Department of Fish and Wildlife as an Area
Wildlife Biologist for Okanogan County in the
mid 90's. Jerry dedicated his entire life
to protecting wildlife and educating people
about the value of wildlife and habitat in
North Central Washington. Jerry loved the
outdoors and the fish and wildlife that resided
there. He had an incredibly pleasant and
accommodating personality and combined that
with his love of wildlife to help people
understand the value of protecting and
conserving wildlife. Wildlife lost a
dedicated advocate and we lost a great
friend.
